Graduate Global Impact (GGI) Internships
For graduate students looking to build professional experience toward a career in academia, industry, nonprofits, or government, UChicagoGRAD provides support in identifying and applying for internship opportunities on campus and around the world. Each year, UChicagoGRAD’s Graduate Global Impact (GGI) internship program places students in meaningful, skill-building internships that make use of their graduate training through two options:
- GGI Pitch: Create your own customized "pitch" internship in academia, nonprofits, or government
- GGI Final-Year PHD: Design an internship project or pursue a pre-established internship in academia, industry, nonprofits, or government in the year the PhD is attained or directly after. Stipends of $6,000 will be awarded to eligible projects and are available on a rolling basis.
More than 30 graduate students from SSD receive funding to pursue internships every academic year.
