Robert Vargas
Associate Professor of Sociology; Deputy DeanProfessor Vargas' research examines how laws, politics, and bureaucracies shape the conditions of cities, with a particular focus on violence and health care. Read more about his work here.
Vargas will also serves as a Deputy Dean. His portfolio focuses on graduate education, working with students, departments, the dean of students' team, and broader partners across campus to strengthen and sustain graduate programs in SSD.
