Peggy Harper provides strategic leadership and guidance, developing and implementing effective planning processes for academic programs and ensuring the Division’s strategic plans are effectively operationalized.  She collaborates with the Dean, Deputy Deans, Department Chairs, Associate Deans, Center Directors, and other key stakeholders to lead a portfolio of strategic projects and advance the Social Sciences Division’s academic mission. Peggy works closely with colleagues across the university to changes in direction and policy and spearheads projects to achieve orchestrated and cohesive results for the Division.

Prior to joining the University of Chicago in 2008, Peggy worked for 20 years at JPMorgan and its predecessors in Chicago, New York, Tokyo, and Beijing.  She holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, an MEd from Loyola University, and a BS in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
