Holly Smith is the Admissions Communications Coordinator for the Division’s graduate programs. Her main role is to craft clear, consistent, and engaging communications for prospective and incoming students. She also tables and hosts recruitment events, coordinates with staff and faculty across the division, and acts as a resource for anyone interested in the social sciences. She is a lifelong Hyde Parker and will gladly tell you all of her favorite spots--just ask! She has worked at the University of Chicago since 2016 (though she took a break to earn her MA abroad) and joined the Division’s Dean of Students Office in 2025. She earned her BA in History (with a minor in Statistics) from Swarthmore College in 2014 and her MA in Writing from Galway University (then the National University of Ireland, Galway) in 2019.
