Professor in the Department of Anthropology
Harris Solomon is a medical anthropologist with research interests in the dynamic relations between medicine and everyday social and political life. His most recent book, Lifelines (Duke University Press, 2022), is an ethnographic study of road and railway injuries and trauma surgery in urban India. He is currently at work on a book entitled Glitch Medicine, which examines questions of errors in medicine. Solomon earned his PhD in Anthropology from Brown University. Prior to joining the University, he served as a professor at Duke University.
