Teaching Fellow in the Social Sciences

Eric Triantafillou is a sociocultural anthropologist working at the intersection of aesthetics, activism, social movement culture, and political economy in North America. His writing appears in the Journal of Visual Culture (2019), Critical Inquiry (2018), and the edited volume, Perspectives on Contemporary Printmaking: Critical Writing Since 1986 (2018, Manchester University Press). He teaches in the “Self, Culture, and Society” Social Sciences Core sequence in the College, and has taught courses on art and anthropology at the University of Chicago and the University of Illinois at Chicago. Eric holds a PhD in Anthropology and an MA in MAPSS from the University of Chicago, and an MFA in Performance Studies from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
