Teaching Fellow in the Social Sciences

Austin Kozlowski studies the relationship between cultural divisions and political polarization in the United States. He has written on the polarization of confidence in the scientific community, the changing meanings of social class, the growing ideological consistency of the American public, and the influence of ideology on confidence among economists. He has been awarded both the Outstanding Article Publication Award and the Outstanding Dissertation in Progress Award by the American Sociological Association's Mathematical Sociology Section. Kozlowski earned his Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Chicago in 2022.
