GIS Helpdesks
There are three GIS Helpdesks at UChicago:
1) One is run by Rob Shepard, UChicago's GIS Librarian as part of the library's GIS Services.

2) The other is managed by Parm Sinha at the Research Computing Center's RCC-GIS (incl. remote sensing, big spatial data mining, ArcGIS licenses, and online geocoding).

The spatial@uchicago discord forum is similar to slack. It's a forum to share geospatial announcements, RAships, jobs, and events across the UChicago network.

GIScience Newsletter
UChicago's GIScience newsletter summarizes spatial RAships, jobs, courses and events. It's designed for undergraduate students in the GIScience Minor but of general spatial interest.

Center for Spatial Data Science Google Group
We use this google group to share news about spatial presentations, funding opportunities, jobs, conferences and other spatial resources. The group has over 270 members. The list includes spatial resources at UChicago and beyond, with a CSDS focus on spatial analytics.
