Eligibility

College students in any field of study may complete a minor in Health and Society. The flexibility of this minor complements majors in any of the disciplines.

How to Declare

Students who wish to declare a minor in Health and Society should contact the program before the end of Spring Quarter of their third year. All students who need to make updates to their minor declarations or who wish to declare a minor in Health and Society are encouraged to:

1. Review the approved course list;
2. Fill out the minor map and send it to Jamie Gentry via email (jagentry@uchicago.edu); and
3. Sign up for the Health and Society minor mailing list.

Once your minor map has been submitted, Jamie will send your approved minor declaration to your College adviser.

Updating Your Minor Courses

• The Health and Society program will email you once per quarter to request course changes and petitions
• Updates may be submitted at any time during the 2023-24 AY via the updates form
