Faculty Host Reading to Commemorate 150 Years since Lincoln Delivered the Gettysburg Address

On November 19, from 4:30 to 6pm, UChicago faculty members will host a reading and offer commentary on the 150th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s seminal Gettysburg Address. The event has been sponsored by the UChicago Institute of Politics and the Karla Scherer Center for the Study of American Culture and will be held in room 122 of the Social Sciences Building.

Readings of the address by: Charles Newell and Christopher Huff.

Commentary by: Jane Dailey, Franklin I. Gamwell, John Mark Hansen, Dennis J. Hutchinson, Ralph Lerner, Eric Slauter and Rosanna Warren.
