Christina is the Director of Human Resources for the Division of Social Sciences. Prior to the University of Chicago, Christina worked 11 years in Human Resources for two state universities in Ohio. She has a BS in Human Resources Management and received her Master’s degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Organizational Development. She is also a certified PHR (Professional in Human Resources) through the Society of Human Resources Management.
As the Director of the Human Resources for Social Sciences, Christina identifies short and long term Human Resources goals with unit leadership and oversees allocation of resources to meet priorities. In addition, she develops human resources operational policies to ensure strategic goals are met and oversees their implementation.
Christina also ensures compliance of staff with organizational, university, and other relevant human resources policies and procedures. She oversees hiring, orientation, performance planning and compensation, staff development, succession planning and employee relations. In addition, Christina advises/counsels supervisors and managers on federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.
