Luc Anselin and Xun li Join 2017 Summer School of Spatial Econometrics at Peking University

Luc Anselin accepted the invitation by Professor Tiyan Shen of Peking University’s School of Government to teach two courses on spatial econometrics there from June 28 to July 2, conduct the keynote address at the conference preceding the summer school, and engage in networking opportunities to build future research collaborations between UChicago’s CSDS and the Peking University. Xun Li, CSDS' Assistant Director for Data Science, also joined to support the summer school. The summer courses are part of the 2017 Summer School of Spatial Econometrics at Peking University from June 18 - July 2, 2017, which is part of the program for Innovative Education for Graduate Students. At the summer school Chinese graduate students attend a series of spatial econometrics courses on topics ranging from theory to methods and research applications. The keynote address introduces a larger audience to new developments in spatial econometrics.
