Following the recent release of their book written with Elizabeth McGhee Hassrick, AM’05, PhD’07, Stephen Raudenbush and Lisa Rosen discuss what can happen when schools are reenvisioned from the ground up. Is it possible to design elementary education so that each student receives tailored instruction? Can we eliminate educational inequality? Drawing from an in-depth study of real schools, the authors propose a revolutionary, effective, and very possible approach to elementary education that stands to transform how our students learn and ultimately succeed.
