Ingrid D. Becker is a postdoctoral Social Sciences Teaching Fellow in the Department of Sociology and the College, where her research and teaching bridge the study of Anglo-American literature and sociology in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Her first book project, Socio/Poetics, presents a new cultural history of the relationship between literature and sociology in the United States and the broader anglophone world since the early twentieth century. She holds a PhD in English from the University of Chicago and an MSt in English from the University of Oxford. At the College, she teaches in the “Self, Culture, and Society” Social Sciences Core sequence.
