Teaching Fellow in the Social Sciences (Appt: Global Studies)

Dr. Inés Escobar González is an anthropologist working at the intersection of everyday life and global political economy. Specializing in Mexico and the Americas, her work examines the social relations that underpin political economic transformation and the ground-level effects of global financial markets. Inés received her PhD in anthropology from the University of Chicago, where she has taught widely, and where she continues to relish teaching courses on ethnographic methods, Latin American development and political economy, and social theory.
