Within the Division of the Social Sciences there are nine PhD and five Masters degree-granting programs.

Undergraduate Education

The Social Sciences Collegiate Division offers five yearlong general education sequences that introduce modes of discourse and analysis that deal with human phenomena, covering writings that exhibit central concepts, theories, and modes of inquiry that form the foundation for work in the social sciences. The Division also sponsors general education sequences on the major civilizations of the world. Its major programs include both traditional disciplines and interdisciplinary fields of study.
