The Survey Lab is a center of the Division of Social Sciences at The University of Chicago. The Survey Lab's mission is to carry out social science data collection and data analysis and to train graduate students in research methods.

The Survey Lab collaborates with academic researchers and nonprofit organizations. We have conducted academic and public policy research in a variety of areas including childcare, health, hunger, sexuality and education. The Lab excels at small surveys requiring individual attention to participants. We specialize in studies that involve independent qualitative components as well as qualitative methods specifically designed to inform questionnaire development. We also provide consultation to researchers who wish to carry out their own studies.
