Division of the Social Studies | The University of Chicago

Non-Degree Visiting Students

Every year, the Division of the Social Sciences hosts short-term Non-Degree Visiting Students from all over the world. For 2007–2008, more than 25 students came from Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

Non-Degree Visiting Students must be advanced doctoral students affiliated with another academic institution. They visit Chicago to conduct short-term research with a faculty member at the University of Chicago. Non-Degree Visiting Student status is available for no more than four consecutive quarters. For eligibility and cost of attendance, please visit the Office of International Affairs and contact Assistant Dean of Students, Kelly Therese Pollock at kpollock@uchicago.edu or 773.795.3238.
